The Streets of Tirana

The sky’s shape has been diminished because of the surrounding architecture. Every shape of this sky is unique and in its uniqueness it identifies a particular place. I believe that it has influence on every man’s sensing over space. This type of form is in constant change since the architecture of Tirana is in constant change too. For the same reason, when a man transposes, this type of form and shape changes or evolves. This work aims at attracting the attention towards the sky and its restrains due to the current architecture of Tirana.


The Paintings

The sky is different at every moment, season and location we find ourselves at. The sky looks different form every viewpoint we look at it from. through a work of overlapping of painting touches, the research of matters and nuances, the intent is to create a special energy in every painting.

The energy is different at every moment, season or situation we find ourselves in. Each and every one of us lives in a different energy. These paintings do not reveal heavens, but water, wind or any other element that represents a specific energy, which energy belongs to a specific moment.


The Horizon Line

The horizon line is a borderline between the undefined space of the sky and the earth’s true territory. The sky’s space symbolizes freedom, hope and dreams. The earth represents the reality on which every man resides. Every horizon line is peculiar to the specifics point we find ourselves in. This peculiar line identifies a place in the same way a DNA imprint does.

I think that this line, being peculiar influences our feelings related to the space. In this work, the horizon line pursues the panorama as well as the architecture to accompany us as a vortex towards the sky and its dimension of freedom and the unknown.


The Signs

Blue powder signs. These signs designate and define the sky's shape at the precise location where they appear. Each blue outline is the closest possible resembling representation of this shape. These shapes are unique and identify the place where they appear. These bear a slight ephemeral character and are prey to the nature's elements, the same way as the real sky.

These shapes are situated at the exact location where the Albanian immigrants disembarked from their boats in Italy, the promised land where all their dreams
would come true.
